Hosted the annual Governor’s Games tournament for girls’ basketball through Claiborne Sparks, Inc.
The Governor’s Games brought families from all over Louisiana and the Gulf Coast to St. Landry Parish for a weekend of competition, food, fun, and fellowship.

Jarvis J. Claiborne has sponsored free back-to-school hair through Joe Freeman’s Beauty and Barber since 2014.

Disaster Relief Support

Great Flood of 2017

Volunteering at the Opelousas Civic Center to support families whose homes had been destroyed or significantly damaged.
Assisted with serving food, passing out toiletries and ensuring that flood victims and other volunteers were comfortable
